AutoCAD Native Page Setup Tools: Windows Builder + Mac Assistant

Use the correct AutoCAD Page Setup tool for your platform: automatic named Page Setup creation on Windows, or a Mac-native PAGESETUP assistant with verification and reporting.

Important: Windows and Mac now have different files. The Windows file automates Page Setup creation. The Mac file is a native creation/verification assistant.

AutoCAD for Windows — automatic Page Setup builder

Download Windows Page Setup Builder (.LSP)

Windows only: automatically creates/updates the CP-PDF-* named Page Setups.

First Windows test

  1. APPLOAD the Windows LSP.
  2. Run CP10D2SCAN.
  3. If devices/styles are listed correctly, run CP10D2BUILD.
  4. Run CP10D2REPORT and save the report.

AutoCAD for Mac — native Page Setup assistant

Download AutoCAD Mac Page Setup Assistant (.LSP)

Mac: opens PAGESETUP, audits the real named Page Setups, checks target names and generates a report.

First Mac test

  1. APPLOAD the Mac LSP.
  2. Run CPMACHELP.
  3. Run CPMACSCAN.
  4. Run CPMACPAGESETUP to open Page Setup Manager.
  5. Create one test setup named CP-PDF-A4-P.
  6. Run CPMACCHECK; CP-PDF-A4-P should be shown as OK.
  7. Run CPMACREPORT and save the report.

Why Mac is an assistant rather than an automatic builder

AutoCAD for Mac supports AutoLISP and PAGESETUP, but not the same Windows ActiveX PlotConfiguration automation layer. The Mac LSP reads the drawing’s real ACAD_PLOTSETTINGS records after creation. It reports the setup name, device, paper, physical paper size, style sheet, plot type, rotation and non-printable margins.

The 14 target names

A4, A3, A2, A1, A0, ARCH D and ARCH E, each in Portrait (-P) and Landscape (-L).

Optional combined package

Download Windows + Mac Tools Together (ZIP)

Contains both LSP files plus a short README.

Do not test these yet

  • CTB/STB creation
  • DWT creation
  • Calibration DXF
  • Physical plotting

Frequently asked questions

Does the AutoLISP work on AutoCAD for Mac?

The automatic builder uses AutoCAD ActiveX and is Windows-only. The ZIP includes a Mac PAGESETUP workflow for creating the same named standards manually.

Does it overwrite my Layouts?

No. It creates or updates named CP-PDF-* PlotConfiguration/Page Setup objects and does not modify Layout geometry.

Why must I still test the Page Setups?

Plot devices, canonical media, style tables and hardware behavior depend on the workstation. The builder discovers what is installed, but production approval still requires Preview/PDF and a known-dimension check.
