CAD Plot Style Standards Specification Pack: CTB/STB Starter Maps
A build-and-QA specification pack for six CAD plot-style standards. It deliberately does not masquerade as native CTB/STB binary files.

Compatibility: Specification CSVs; native CTB/STB must be built/tested in AutoCAD
Test status: Phase 10D generated file QA passed
Included specifications
- Architectural Monochrome CTB starter mapping
- Engineering Monochrome CTB starter mapping
- Grayscale CTB example
- Screening CTB example
- Color plotting CTB example
- STB named-style starter mapping
Important: these are not compiled CTB/STB files
Use the CSV files to build the native table in AutoCAD Plot Style Manager, then test it on a calibration drawing. A downloadable file should not be called a CTB/STB until AutoCAD has created and validated that native file.
The mappings are starter standards
They are intentionally labeled as examples, not universal architectural or engineering requirements. An office should adapt lineweights, screening and color rules to its documented standard.
Frequently asked questions
Why not provide fake .ctb files?
Because a renamed text file is not a valid native AutoCAD plot-style table. CADPlotting.com should only release real CTB/STB files after AutoCAD creation and testing.
Can I use the mapping as-is?
Use it as a starter and test it; project/office standards may require different lineweight and screening rules.
How should I validate the final CTB/STB?
Use a calibration drawing containing ACI colors, lineweights, screening, text, hatches and raster content; verify both PDF and physical output.
