What this calculator does

The calculator converts the real extents to plotted size at 1:N, compares them with the available paper rectangle, and reports the exact minimum ratio required if the requested scale is too large.

Example

A 50 m × 30 m drawing at 1:100 needs 500 × 300 mm of paper. That fits inside an A1 landscape printable area of 821 × 574 mm with 10 mm margins.
