How to Create a Custom AutoCAD Paper Size from an Existing Size
For supported non-system plotters, the Custom Paper Size wizard can use an existing standard paper size as the starting point, then let you change media bounds and printable margins.
Browse CADPlotting articles about ISO, ANSI and ARCH sheet sizes, printable area, orientation, plot margins and roll media. These focused references help match CAD layouts and PDF output to the real dimensions and limitations of the selected paper and device.

ANSI B is 11 × 17 in (279 × 432 mm). In AutoCAD, select the real printer or PDF device first, then choose ANSI B from that device’s Paper Size list and make sure the Layout title block matches the physical sheet.
Edit a custom paper size when its dimensions, printable margins, name or source are wrong. Make the change in the same device/PC3 that owns the media definition, then retest the actual sheet.
A sheet can be called A1, ARCH D or ANSI D and still print differently on two devices. The reason is simple: the paper has a nominal size, but the printer or plotter may not be able to print all the way to the edge.
