PDF Merge Control in AutoCAD: Overwrite vs Lines Merge
PDF Merge Control determines what happens where plotted lines overlap. Overwrite lets the top line hide the lower line; Lines Merge blends overlapping colors. AutoCAD's predefined PDF presets use Overwrite by default.

Step 6 — Keep the project standard

Do this: Use documented setting.
Check: Users do not vary it per sheet.
Beginner example
Where a red utility line crosses a blue line, Overwrite can hide the lower line at the overlap while Lines Merge can blend colors. Choose based on the graphical standard.
