How to Print a Selected Area in AutoCAD

Model Space is where the full-size drawing normally lives. Paper Space Layouts are where repeatable sheets are normally assembled. Both can print, but the scale logic is different.
The paper list depends on the selected output device. Choose the device first, then the exact paper, and remember that printable area can be smaller than the nominal sheet.
A good production sheet should print the same way tomorrow. Use a Layout, named Page Setup, locked viewport and controlled plot style instead of relying on memory.

Revit printing starts from sheets and views rather than AutoCAD Model Space and Paper Space. The practical goal is still the same: match the Revit sheet to the correct PDF or paper size, keep the intended scale, and make sure the graphics survive the output process.
Civil 3D uses the AutoCAD plotting engine, but civil projects add profiles, sections, labels, plan production and large sheet sets. A good plotting workflow therefore has to control both the basic AutoCAD output settings and the Civil 3D content shown on each sheet.
