Viewport scale controls how large the model view appears on the sheet. Annotation scale controls the displayed size/representation of annotative text, dimensions, hatches and other annotative objects. They are related but not the same setting.
Set annotation scale from the status bar for Model Space or from the selected Layout viewport. The correct annotation scale lets annotative text, dimensions and symbols display at their intended paper size.
If annotative text is huge, tiny or missing, do not change viewport scale first. Check the text style/object’s Annotative setting, current annotation scale and the scale representations assigned to the object.
LTSCALE, PSLTSCALE and MSLTSCALE control different parts of linetype display. LTSCALE is the global pattern factor, PSLTSCALE controls viewport/paper-space behavior, and MSLTSCALE relates Model Space display to annotation scale.
When the same dashed or center linetype looks different in viewports at different scales, check PSLTSCALE, LTSCALE, MSLTSCALE and regeneration before editing the linetype definition itself.
